SERVICED APARTMENTS HOUSEKEEPER

JOB PURPOSE

The serviced apartment housekeepers’ main responsibility is to take care of the serviced apartments general cleanliness to provide tidy and sanitary amenities to guests and residents. The duties will include but not limited to cleaning floors, making beds, dusting surfaces, cleaning dishes & washing laundry.

This role reports to the Site Supervisor.

Qualification, Skills and Experience:

  1. KSCE Certificate.
  2. Professional training in Housekeeping is highly desirable.
  3. 2-3 years’ of work experience in serviced apartments as a Housekeeper in the ProfessionalCleaning Industry will be an added advantage.
  4. Experience and strong knowledge relating to the use of cleaning appliances andwashing/laundry machines, chemicals and substances.
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  6. Attention to detail.
  7. Agile and efficient.
  8. Physical strength and stamina to work extended periods.
  9. A positive attitude coupled with team spirit
  10. Must be of high integrity.

SITE SUPERVISOR

JOB PURPOSE

The supervisors’ main responsibility is to lead a team of stewards within an assignment through; planning, directing, organizing and providing the essential leadership skills needed for successful execution of all operational tasks and functionalities within assignment(s) and in line with the contract. You will be the contact point between the client and management. You will use the company knowledge to offer a customer- focused experience. The jobholder will be required to make regular visits to all sites and ensuring that all duties are carried to high standards.

This role reports to the Operations Manager.

Qualification, Skills and Experience:

  1. KSCE Certificate.
  2. A Certificate or Diploma will be an added advantage.
  3. Basic training on housekeeping.
  4. 3-5 years’ experience as a Site supervisor in the Professional Cleaning Industry and havingmanaged teams of above 15 people.
  5. Experience and strong knowledge relating to use of cleaning equipment, chemicals andsubstances.
  6. Experience in coordinating teams, site operations, work-flow processes, managing flow ofcommunication.
  7. Prior work experience in managing customer relations and service delivery.
  8. Experience in landscaping and grounds maintenance is a MUST.
  9. Good business sense and enterprising individual
  10. A positive attitude coupled with team spirit
  11. Flexible to work in any part of the country outside Nairobi.
  12. Must be of high integrity.
  13. Ability to drive and cycle is an added advantage.

STEWARD

JOB PURPOSE

As a steward/stewardess you will be required to undertake the following duties as directed by the supervising officer using the prescribed methods and frequencies in line with the cleaning specifications:

Reporting Relationship: Site Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Emptying and cleaning waste bins, transporting waste materials to designated collection points.
  2. Sweeping floors as per the standard operating procedures.
  3. Mopping floors with wet or damp mops.
  4. Carpet shampooing, vacuum cleaning and spot cleaning carpets
  5. To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, fixtures and fittings
  6. To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls/ papers) in washrooms.
  7. To clean and disinfect washrooms as per the standard operating procedures
  8. Undertake wall washing or inside window pane cleaning during periodic cleaningmaintenance programs.
  9. Sweeping parking’s, pavements and pathways to maintain cleanliness of the grounds.
  10. Lawn mowing, raking and collection of rubbish on lawns.
  11. Trim shrubbery and weeding to maintain the outlook of the gardens.
  12. Spray insecticides to ward off insects or rodents from the inside and outside of thebuilding.
  13. Emptying, cleaning and disinfecting sanitary bins
  14. Responsible for reporting repairs and replacements encountered when executing dailytasks.
  15. And any other task that may be assigned from time to time

  3. A positive attitude coupled with team spirit
  4. Flexible to work in any part of the country
  5. Attention to detail
  6. Must be of high integrity
  7. Good communication skills
